About the Artist
O'Neill Cushman is an American artist living and working in Aix-en-Provence, France. His work is centered around the idea that a work of art is structurally parallel to nature, and that the most direct form of self expression is through a phenomenological investigation of these natural structures. His methodical and continual search for poetic truth and perceptive meaning, both in nature and in his work, guides his rapid, intuitive style, which he calls Phenomenological Expressionism.
